John’s background in delivering results and innovation through many years of military service also built his experience in delivering effective systems and services in tough places.
Subsequently, John has built corporate experience in manufacturing and power technologies. His passion for clean energy, adaptive power as a pathway to confident business has led him to develop a range of power and energy systems.
John’s insights on resilient power mesh solutions using hybrid and solar energy has led him to develop solutions to bridge to a resilient future energy through modular adaptive energy systems designed for cyber secure grid and remote application.
John has previously held Fellowship in the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He has been awarded the Conspicuous Service Cross for his leadership in various military operations and Membership of the Order of Australia primarily for his leadership in Banda Aceh, Indonesia during the Asian Tsunami Response.
John has authored “Flight Command” which explores his insights into the Australian perspectives of modern military service.
Continuing his commitment to service, John is an officer of the Robertson Rural Fire Brigade regularly responding to structure fires, motor vehicle accidents, and storm damage. He also volunteers for such demanding tasks as rebuilding fencing after bushfires and removal of mud from flooded houses.

Ty Christopher is a senior energy industry leader with 40 years of experience in electricity networks, renewable energy integration, and strategic infrastructure management. He has held senior executive roles at Endeavour Energy, leading major transformations in asset management, network planning, and project delivery—achieving record capital programs, regulatory approvals, and pioneering digital innovation such as LiDAR-based asset modelling and Virtual Power Plant development.
Ty is the Director of the Energy Futures Network at the University of Wollongong, driving research, industry partnerships, and workforce development for Australia’s clean energy transition. He successfully secured $10M in federal funding to establish the Energy Futures Skills Centre and has delivered numerous technical papers and training programs nationally and internationally.
As Managing Director of Ty Christopher & Associates, Ty continues to influence energy policy, technology adoption, and sustainable grid solutions. A Fellow and Chartered Professional Engineer with Engineers Australia, Ty combines technical expertise with commercial acumen to shape future-ready energy systems.
